Timer on the chat: off, 5 min, 8 h, 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year. Expiry takes photos and voice notes. Copies already on other phones stay there.
How to
SILNT disappear, Lockdown, erase.
What a phone in someone else's hands still holds. Encryption on the wire is the easy half.
App lock
Settings, Lock when backgrounded. Closes the encrypted database and drops the key. Wallet disconnects with it. Face ID is optional. The lock is your device passcode.
Lockdown
Face ID of the current set only. Passcode cannot unwrap chats or the wallet. Previews off. Re-enrolling Face ID makes local history on this phone unreadable. Not a wipe after failed attempts.
Erase
Keys first, then messages, media, payments, delivered notifications. Claimed handle released. Choose whether to keep the sealed iCloud backup. Spark also needs reachable operators plus local exit data.
In the app: Settings, How to, Disappear, Lockdown, erase. Cannot stop an unlocked phone or a known phrase. Cannot unsay copies already on other phones or on a public chain.
