Handle
Type @username in New chat. A claimed handle is public on purpose. A shareable handle can carry a fingerprint of the identity key, so a handle you handed someone will not resolve to anybody else.
How to
SILNT add someone.
New chat is the only door. Search an @handle, or share an invite. Neither one is a payment address.
Invite
New chat, Invite. Show a QR or copy a code. They paste it in Invite. The chat appears after they answer. Do not re-redeem a code that already went through.
Group
Add from the directory, or create an invite link in the group. Reset the link if it leaked. The server sees that a link was used. It does not see the chat.
Pay after
Once you are in a thread, send bitcoin or USDt in the conversation, or open Receive for an invoice. Still not via the handle. Safety numbers, compared in person, remain the strongest check.
